The Tokyo Auto Salon is an annual show that showcases aftermarket parts and technology displays think of it as SEMA but with taste, and also with parts well likely never see in North America. This year (or, rather, next year) Honda will be bringing an upgraded S2000 sports car to the Salon to celebrate the models 20th anniversary, but be warned the car comes with a few tweaks to bring it into the 21st century. This particular car started life as an AP1-generation S2000, to which a new front bumper was added, along with side skirts, more prominent fenders and a rear spoiler. Only one teaser image of the upgraded vehicle has been released, but it does show off the new front fascia, which kind of makes it look like a Renault Alpine. We can see the splitter is now a little lower, and there are also side skirts to give the vehicle a lower appearance.Honda said the S2000 is also sporting a new suspension system, as well as an upgraded stereo. A set of 17-inch Advan RZ2 wheels adorn the sports car, and the windshield frame has been painted black and made thinner to give the car a more sleek appearance. The sun visors and rearview mirror also appear to have been deleted, and the outside mirror caps have been darkened, too. Could this perhaps be a speedster concept? Well have to wait until January to find out.Honda has brought a modified S2000 to the Auto Salon before in the form of the S2000 Modulo Climax, in 2013. It featured a chrome front bumper that echoed the eyebrow styling of current Hondas, as well as a custom red paint

LEGO made a life-size Harley-Davidson Fat Boy to celebrate new set
Just in time for the beginning of the end of riding season, LEGO has released a Creator Expert series Harley-Davidson Fat Boy model. And because it’s basically just what you do now, it’s also built a life-size replica to go with it. You can only own one of them, though. LEGO worked with Harley-Davidson to create the 33-cm model, which comes together from 1,023 pieces, including bits that make up a Milwaukee-Eight engine with pistons that pump when you spin the rear wheel; a moveable gearshift; brake; dual exhaust pipes; functioning kickstand; teardrop fuel tank; handlebar steering; and a speedometer. “It’s been exceptionally exciting for Harley-Davidson to collaborate with the LEGO Group — another brand that champions creativity and expression,” said Heather Malenshek, Chief Marketing Officer at Harley-Davidson. “Not only do we want customers to be inspired by the end result, we want them to enjoy the building process.”The set goes on sale August 1, or July 17 for LEGO VIP. Then theres the life-size model. Its not actually drivable like that Bugatti Chiron, but it does a pretty good imitation, with Wi-fi-animation control for light and sound effects, and silver-coated parts. It took LEGOs Master Builders some 865 hours to click together its 69,569 pieces.Harley and/or LEGO fans can check out the life-size LEGO Harley Fat Boy at select LEGO stores and Harley-Davidson

Alfa Romeo Racing edition Giulia and Stelvio celebrate F1 return at Goodwood
An aero package developed with help from Sauber adds a unique front splitter, more prominent rear spoiler and wider side skirts. Inside the cabin, unique stylistic details include Sparco racing seats with red stitching and carbonfibre shells, and carbonfibre inserts in the gearknob and steering wheel. Just ten Giulia and three Stelvio models will initially be made available for UK customers, with prices starting from £89,500 for the Giulia saloon and £96,500 for the Stelvio SUV. Both cars will be taking part in the Goodwood hillclimb at this year’s Festival. The Alfa Romeo Racing edition cars were first revealed at the Geneva motor show earlier this year alongside the Stelvio Ti, equipped with a 276bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, and a Giulia Veloce Ti in Misano Blue featuring extensive use of carbonfibre. Alfa also used that event to announce trim level revisions and a rejigging of the engine range for the 2019 Alfa Giulietta: the Super, the Speciale and the Veloce. There is now a choice of three different Euro 6D-compliant engines – a 1.4-litre 118bhp turbo petrol and 1.6-litre 118bhp diesel in manual or automatic, plus a 2.0-litre 168bhp diesel available in TCT automatic transmission only. The entry-level Super comes with cruise control, dual air-con, front foglights and rear parking sensors as standard; side skirts, sports seats, tinted windows and an oversized exhaust come with the Speciale; and the top-of-the-range Veloce includes 18in dark alloy wheels, twin exhausts, Alcantara and fabric seats, electric mirrors, auto headlights and wipers, and Uconnect

Goodwood Festival sculpture to celebrate Aston Martin
Aston Martin will be the subject of this year’s Central Feature at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, with a sculpture celebrating the 70th anniversary of its first race at the venue’s race circuit, and the 60th anniversary of its victory in the World Sportscar Championship. The sculpture on the front lawn of Goodwood House is a focal point of the festival, and has celebrated a number of car manufacturers through the years – but this will be the first time that it has honoured Aston Martin. The British firm first raced at Goodwood in the Lavant Cup, during the 1949 Easter Meeting, with WG Bingley finishing in 10th place. A decade later, the 1959 World Sportscar Championship title was decided in the RAC TT race at the track, with Stirling Moss in contention for the title. His bid faltered early on when the DBR1 he shared with Roy Salvadori was forced to retire from the lead when it caught fire during a pit stop. But the team put Moss into the DBR1 driven by Carroll Shelby and Jack Fairman, with the trio winning the race to secure Aston the title ahead of Ferrari and Porsche. Gerry Judah will again design the Central Feature, as he has done since 1997. The sculpture usually features real cars, although no details have been given about which ones may
