The gearheads at Emory Motorsports have created another stunner in the Porsche Outlaw scene. For all you Porsche nerds out there, youll know the companys Speedsters were made between 1954 and 1958, replaced by the Convertible D in 1959. This custom car represents a fictional 1959-1/2 Transitional model. The car started out as a rusted hulk, with a roof so badly damaged that Rod Emory and his team decided to ditch it entirely. The client for the vehicle was fully on board with a Speedster look, so Emory Motorsports obliged, hand-forming the aluminum tonneau cover and headrest fairing. In the trunk is a classic Porsche flat-four, but now displacing 2.4-litres and making 205 horsepower thanks to Weber 48 IDA carburetors and MSD twin-plug ignition. The engine drives the rear wheels only thanks to a lightweight four-speed gearbox. The suspension has also been heavily revised with a 901-style independent rear setup, as well as adjustable Koni dampers and upgraded sway bars. Brake rotors and calipers borrow heavily from the 911, and the 15-by-5-inch wheels with Dunlop SP 5000 tires stick it to the ground. To finish it all off, the car is painted in a period-correct Aquamarine Metallic paint, with a beautiful contrasting red

Emory does it again with the gorgeously resto-modified Outlaw 911K
Rod Emory has carved out a place for himself and his business in the world of Porsche by taking vintage 356s and bringing them into the modern era with mad style, grace and motorsport engineering. Now, with the Outlaw 911K, the Porsche experts at Emory Motorsports have completed their first project based on a Porsche 911. Commissioned by a special client, the project is based on a 1968 SWB 911 and inspired by the short-tailed Porsche 908-010 K-body prototype. It’s a new-age beauty with shades of retro stylings, which is classic Emory. But there’s a certain amount of playfulness here that not all the other Outlaws have. Features like the air horns mounted under the front, auxiliary lights, the Mobil Pegasus painted on the side, the 901 five-speed manual transmission or the cream-and-orange paint combo all bring a sense of fun to the custom build. Powering the 911K is a 2.5-litre twin-plug six-cylinder 911 engine that makes 190 horsepower with a modern ECU and a cooling fan from a 935. The car also got upgraded brakes with 911 S alloy calipers, a fully adjustable three-way KW shocks and Pirelli tires. Inside, there are 908-inspired seats with red covers and racing harnesses, a Prototipo steering wheel, an amber-coloured fibreglass dash cover and leather straps for the windows to round out the vintage rally feel. The Emory Outlaw 911K hasnt revealed the price the customer paid yet, so feel free to browse through the gallery of photos below and take a guess at the number of zeroes the tagll end

Europe to outlaw C7 Corvette and Camaro SS sales
2018 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LEBrian Harper / Driving As Europe continues to tighten emissions regulations, the handful of EU or U.K. citizens that appreciate the subtleties of the big-block Chevrolet V8 and have been hoping to get into the latest performance offering from the brand are finding themselves in a pinch. A ban on sales of any Chevy vehicle with a 6.2-litre LT1 V8 engine will take effect August 31, 2019, making the C7 Corvette and sixth-gen Camaro SS impossible to purchase new in the United Kingdom and European Union as of September 1, though used models can still be moved. The over-460-horsepower V8 engine just doesn’t fit with Europe’s vision of a pollution-free future. To be fair, the modern American muscle cars have hardly been selling like crumpets across the pond. According to British outlet Motoring Research, which recently published a “last chance to buy a muscle car” warning, the last wave of English Vettes and Camaros are being sold from a single authorized dealer in the U.K. Not exactly crushing demand, despite the fact the Camaro tops Motoring Research’s list of Britain’s favourite specialist used cars. The Corvette didn’t make the top ten. Makes you wonder if GM will even push for European distribution for the upcoming C8 Corvette, right?
